With a great sense of delight mixed with apprehension, you discovered that you could walk without a parent holding your hand. At first just a few steps, but then as your confidence increased, you walked more, with a triumphant grin on your face. At sixteen you left the comfort and shelter of your two parent's homes, and went to stretch your wings and start a second life at TAMS in Denton. You learned to be self-sufficient, to organize your days, make new friends, learn the college life. Now on your physical and spiritual journey I see that you are starting a third life - a new form of independence and self-sufficiency derived from a growing sense of who you are and where you want to go in life. Our lives are colored by the people we meet, the friends we make, the people that we love and those who love us. I can see that the palette of your life will have many colors. Go paint beautiful pictures. love, Dad Your Third Life
